Early March, James Lule, an AFROCAB Community Advisory Board (CAB) Member, facilitated an Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) training for Community AHD Champions and volunteers at Kyegegwa General Hospital in Uganda.

He demonstrated the VISITECT CD4 Advanced Disease test and its importance in managing AHD within the WHO STOP AIDS package of care.
We have focused on measuring mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) in adolescents, but I will now also screen for Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) in children after learning about the STOP AIDS package.

Said Marrion, one of the participants who attended AFROCAB-led AHD trainings for Community AHD Champions, Facilitators, and Volunteers held at Kyegegwa General Hospital, Uganda.
